Car Accidents

There are two major mistakes to avoid after a car accident. The first is failing to seek medical attention or follow the advice of a medical provider.

The second mistake is to wait too long before contacting a lawyer. If you have been injured in a car accident, contact my office by phone or email to schedule a free consultation.
It's difficult to demonstrate the connection between injuries and the car accident when people either fail to seek medical attention or neglect to follow the advice of health care providers. Consequently, the insurance company will almost certainly challenge claims that the car accident caused the injuries.

If an accident victim waits too long to contact an attorney evidence at the scene of the collision may disappear. Additionally, witnesses become harder to identify and track down, victims are swayed into saying things that hurt their case and convinced to settle their case before the extent and cost of their injuries is known.

My approach to handling a car accident case includes:
  • Attacking and resolving potential insurance issues early on in the process
  • Protecting my client from insurance companies who would like nothing more than to convince accident victims to sign a release or make statements that would hurt their case
  • Keeping the lines of communication open with regard to insurance claims
  • Investigating and reconstructing the accident
  • Preserving and documenting evidence
  • Identifying, locating and obtaining witness statements
  • Helping my client obtain workers' compensation benefits in work-related car accidents
